Korean-style Swimming Crab Miso Soup

Enjoy the rich taste of crab butter in this spicy miso soup.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Watari-gani (Swimming crabs) 2
Tofu 1/2 cake
Soybean sprouts 1/2 package
Shimeji mushrooms 1/2 pack
Gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste) 2 tablespoons
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. Cut the watari-gani into halves. Remove the base off the shimeji mushrooms and separate into small bunches. Cut the tofu into proper sizes.
  2. Bring the dashi stock to a boil and add the watari-gani, tofu, soybean sprouts and shimeji mushrooms. After the ingredients are cooked, dissolve the miso and add the gochujang.
  3. Serve the miso soup in bowls.

★ A Note

Use whole watari-gani in large chunks. It adds a rich taste to the miso soup.
