Grilled Pacific Saury and Daikon Radish Miso Soup

Enjoy fragrant grilled pacific saury (sanma) accompanied by grated daikon radish. Kabosu (Japanese citrus fruit) adds a pleasant flavor to the miso soup.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Sanma 1
Daikon radish 4 cm (120 g)
Kabosu 1/2
Ginger 15 g
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. Remove the head and guts from the sanma and filet it. Grill the sanma fillets and cut into proper sizes. Grate the daikon radish and ginger and cut the kabosu into wedges.
  2. Bring the dashi stock to a boil and dissolve the miso.
  3. Place the sanma in bowls and pour in the miso soup of 2. Serve the miso soup with the grated daikon and ginger and the kabosu on top.
