White Bok Choy and 5-Color Rice Cracker Bits Miso Soup

Juicy white bok choy (shirona) is accompanied by savory thick deep-fried tofu (atsuage) in this miso soup.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Shirona 1 bunch
Atsuage 1 cake
Goshiki-arare
(5-color rice cracker bits)
1 tablespoon
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. Cut the atsuage into proper sizes. Boil the shirona for a short time and cut it to 2 ~ 3-cm length.
  2. Bring the dashi stock to a boil, add the atsuage and shirona and boil for a moment.
  3. Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the goshiki-arare sprinkled.
