Yellowtail and Grilled Japanese Leek Miso Soup

Grilling Japanese leek (naga-negi) makes it sweeter. Enjoy sweet naga-negi and savory yellowtail in this miso soup.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Yellowtail 200 g
Naga-negi 1/2
Ginger 15 g
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. Cut the yellowtail into chunks and shred the ginger thinly. Cut the naga-negi to 4-cm length and grill.
  2. Boil the yellowtail in the dashi stock. After the yellowtail is cooked, add the naga-negi.
  3. Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the shredded ginger on top.

The flavor of shredded ginger on top gives a kick to the taste of the miso soup.
