Bok Choy and Bacon Miso Soup

This miso soup is easy to prepare, yet bacon adds a good taste to it.

Ingredients (4 servings)

Chingensai (Bok choy) 1 bunch
Bacon 4 pieces
Dashi stock 800 cc
Miso 3-1/2 tablespoons

Directions

  1. Cut the chingensai roughly into proper sizes. Cut the bacon into 3-cm lengths.
  2. Bring the dashi stock to a boil. Add the chingensai and bacon and boil for a moment.
  3. Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls.

Chingensai was originally from China and it is now grown all over Japan.
